This is the second fair I’ve attended. I was hired at the last time I attended a fair so I do have experience in the process and overseas teaching. Many schools did not attend this fair, or attended but had already filled many of the listed vacancies. We, the candidates, were told that schools were not to offer contracts until interviews had concluded but most were offering as the interviews happened and most interviews after the first day were canceled. It left those of us without positions wondering why we had taken off days from current positions, spend hundreds of dollars to fly in only to find ourselves not even having interviews. I would not recommend this fair and I felt we should have been updated on the REAL list of vacancies especially after the ISS fair in Boston the week preceding the combined fair.
